Ajna – Mental Awareness

The Ajna is the center of processing, logic, and analysis. After the Head has asked a question, the Ajna's task is to organize, examine, and answer that question. It is the library of your mind. A defined Ajna works with a fixed way of thinking – step-by-step, abstract, or pattern recognition. An open Ajna has no fixed 'thinking style' and can therefore be extremely flexible and creative, but also runs the risk of identifying with the 'fixed' opinions of others. Its wisdom lies in questioning certainty.

Defined – You have a fixed, consistent way of thinking. For example, you are always step-by-step logical, always visual, or always pattern-recognizing. You know 'how you think'.
Undefined (with gates) – You don't have a fixed thinking style, but you do possess specific mental themes (for example, a gate to patterns or to facts). You can adopt different ways of thinking, but certain thoughts keep returning.
Completely open – No gates at all. You have no thinking style of your own. Your mind is completely flexible and empty. You can mirror any way of thinking from others. Your wisdom: you are not attached to 'being right' or 'being certain'. You see when a thought is true and when it is not, without getting entangled in it. Risk: you identify with the opinions of others and think you are stupid or insecure.
